I really hope you’re ready for this one,
While surfing some photos on Instagram the other day, I saw a meme that suggested banana peels whiten your teeth.
My curious bean instincts made me reach for my computer and start researching. What I found out is it’s true!
Banana peels are a great source of vitamins and minerals which can be used to help lift stains on teeth. These inclue potassium, magnesium and manganese which absorb into your teeth and can whiten them. (weird right?)
Bananas don’t have the abrasiveness or acid found in other natural whiteners (like oranges or lemons) so even if it doesn’t work for you at least you are not risking damage to healthy teeth.
I’ve been trying this for a little over a week now, and it works!!
Here’s what I’ve been doing,
1) Eat the banana (we don’t want to waste anything)
2) Using the inside of the peel, rub it against your teeth for 2 minutes (look at the peel when you’re done and you can actually see some staining coming right off)
3) Brush your teeth
And that’s it.
If you want to see results quicker, rub for longer than 2 minutes (use a new piece of the peel if you decided to) or do this twice a day.
What do you think? Will you try it? Let me know, I’d love to hear if you got the same results as me.
