New season, new trends. Don’t get overwhelmed, just follow the tips in this article to find out what essential footwear you need for your winter collection.
1) Laced Combat Boots
Whether you picked up a fabulous pair last season or you want to treat yourself to newer pair, combat boots are a must for the winter season. They make the perfect shoe for a casual look and can easily be dressed up. While you can purchase brown or beige combat boots, I’d stick to the basic black, since you’ll get the most of them for the whole season. As for length, the under-the-knee combat boots went out of style last season, so stick to the ankle length we’re all used to.
2) Heeled Booties
This is an obvious one. The style is totally up to you; you can choose to wear a nubuck style or a classic round toe suede buckle up – but booties are a must for the season because they can be used to easily dress a look up without needed to throw on bulky jewellery. It’s an easy fix that will make a lasting impression.

If you’re like any other girl, you love matching your nail polish to your outfit, mood and the season. Sometimes these three elements don’t match up and the world of fashion says you cannot wear hot pink nail polish in November. But, maybe, this list will work as a guide of the top colours you CAN wear for the upcoming season.
1. Naturally Nude
Nudes are always a good idea – especially during the transition into fall. Finding the right one can be tricky but it’s just a game of trial and error. No matter what skin tone you have, there’s a nude for you. My personal favourite is ‘Tickle My France-y’ from OPI.
2. Blood Red
Reds, like nudes, can be worn all year round. But with red, as the weather gets colder and the sun sets earlier, the shade of red darkens. The trickiest part of finding the perfect shade of blood red is not being misled by the colour it appears in the bottle! Try ‘Take me to Paris’ by OPI.
3. Over the Taupe
Taupe is a great colour for fall – not too dark and not too light. It’s usually really easy to find a nice shade of taupe from all different companies. I love the way ‘Foie Gras’ by China Glaze dries!

Sometimes it’s nice to forget the current “trends” and just wear something that speaks to you. While the craze for sportswear is continuously growing in the fashion world, I’ve decided to give it a rest for a bit and get back to some basics.
The important thing to remember with an outfit like this, is to focus on the details. I added some great silver rings and earrings to complete the look.
Nothing welcomes Spring better than a great blazer and a nude hand-bag. Keeping in tuned with the current popular colour we’ve been seeing on the runways of Toronto Fashion Week, I finished the look off with great pink flats.

For those who know me, this might be a surprise.. MK usually isn’t my style at all, but I LOVED this collection! The colour scheme, the class and structure of the looks, everything just screamed my name and captured my attention.
The first look I found adorable, something I’d totally wear and can be pulled off by nearly anyone.
If there’s one thing Michael Kors knows how to do really well, it would be playing with length. The brand can nearly make any dress look fabulous.
The last two looks I picked out because of my obsession for women pant suits. Fashionable women always resemble power and these two, all-white suits capture that idea. The black details on the first and the accessories on the second were the perfect finishing touch to both looks!
Posting yesterday’s outfit a little late, it was such a hectic day between work, running errands, and catching up with some friends.
But nonetheless, here’s what I wore
I picked up this American flag scarf from Aldo a few weeks ago, and with the cold weather we’ve been having I was able to incorporate it into my outfit. I instantly fell in love with the material and colours of the scarf, especially the use of grey instead of white for the stripes.
I threw on my favourite pair of jeans, a white long sleeve v-neck and made my way to work. Super easy and tres chic.
