If you’re like any other girl, you love matching your nail polish to your outfit, mood and the season. Sometimes these three elements don’t match up and the world of fashion says you cannot wear hot pink nail polish in November. But, maybe, this list will work as a guide of the top colours you CAN wear for the upcoming season.
1. Naturally Nude
Nudes are always a good idea – especially during the transition into fall. Finding the right one can be tricky but it’s just a game of trial and error. No matter what skin tone you have, there’s a nude for you. My personal favourite is ‘Tickle My France-y’ from OPI.
2. Blood Red
Reds, like nudes, can be worn all year round. But with red, as the weather gets colder and the sun sets earlier, the shade of red darkens. The trickiest part of finding the perfect shade of blood red is not being misled by the colour it appears in the bottle! Try ‘Take me to Paris’ by OPI.
3. Over the Taupe
Taupe is a great colour for fall – not too dark and not too light. It’s usually really easy to find a nice shade of taupe from all different companies. I love the way ‘Foie Gras’ by China Glaze dries!

Been a while since I’ve written one of these, feeling a little rusty but all for good reason! Regardless if the posts stop the fashion doesn’t – check out my outfit from last night!
While sometimes my look is more edgy, most times it’s classic chic. Last night I wore these great pair of flared jeans with a white quitted t-shirt. I wasn’t in the mood for any chunky statement necklaces so I kept it light with this blue stone necklace. Finally finished the look with some pumps and my new favourite orange tote!
Let me just take the time to also say that I’m a huge believer in jeans being just about the best invention in the world! Their versatility and comfort level make them my go-to bottoms when creating any look!!
Get this look – Jeans: Abercrombie & Fitch, T-shirt: Reitmans, Heels: Le Chateau, Necklace: Unknown (gift from Syria), Tote: Payless for only $12!
Yaroslav Shulzhenko anyone?
A Russian shoe designer and maker unlike any other, with heels that cannot be ignored. The colourful patterns and attention to detail make these heels a true work of art.
Relatively new, Yaroslav’s work begin in the late 20th century after he studied design in Italy. Initially only available to major cities in Europe, YS shoes can finally be purchased online.
I’ve compiled a gallery of SOME of my favourite heels, but make sure you check out his website http://yarose.it/ and follow his Instagram for daily uploads and gorgeous pictures.
Safe to say all these heels have been added to my forever-growing want list!
