Must-Have Winter Footwear

New season, new trends. Don’t get overwhelmed, just follow the tips in this article to find out what essential footwear you need for your winter collection.

1) Laced Combat Boots

Whether you picked up a fabulous pair last season or you want to treat yourself to newer pair, combat boots are a must for the winter season. They make the perfect shoe for a casual look and can easily be dressed up. While you can purchase brown or beige combat boots, I’d stick to the basic black, since you’ll get the most of them for the whole season. As for length, the under-the-knee combat boots went out of style last season, so stick to the ankle length we’re all used to.

2) Heeled Booties

This is an obvious one. The style is totally up to you; you can choose to wear a nubuck style or a classic round toe suede buckle up – but booties are a must for the season because they can be used to easily dress a look up without needed to throw on bulky jewellery. It’s an easy fix that will make a lasting impression.

There’s one more style, find out what it is by heading to TOOVIA now!

A New Found Obsession

Yaroslav Shulzhenko anyone?

A Russian shoe designer and maker unlike any other, with heels that cannot be ignored. The colourful patterns and attention to detail make these heels a true work of art.

Relatively new, Yaroslav’s work begin in the late 20th century after he studied design in Italy. Initially only available to major cities in Europe, YS shoes can finally be purchased online.

I’ve compiled a gallery of SOME of my favourite heels, but make sure you check out his website and follow his Instagram for daily uploads and gorgeous pictures.

Safe to say all these heels have been added to my forever-growing want list!

A Kick in the Right Direction: Must-Haves for Spring 2013

Happy Spring!

Today is a great day for us fashion gyals, finally the time has come to move away from bulky sweaters and dark colours.

Spring is here and the 2013 shoe collection thus far is gorgeous. Manolo Blahnik, Valentino and Gucci are just some of the designers who are incorporating the bright neons in sling backs, open-toes and pointed-toe heels and flats.

I’ve gone through and picked out some of my favourites, check them out.

These beautiful Manolo Blahnik suede citrus-green 4” pointed-toe Manolo heels are perfect for the Spring. The shoe is available is many different eye-catching colours on Neiman Marcus for $595.

These Valentino gold studded leather flats are sent from heaven. The absolute perfect finishing to any spring outfit. Also available in a gorgeous lime-green.

Gucci ankle cuff sandal in cobalt blue for $660. Words can’t explain how perfect these heels are. The colour choice and accent of gold contrasts each other with the simplest form of class, making them ideal for a spring outfit.

Shoe Shopping Sunday

Good Morning Fashionistas,

Before getting out of bed, I grabbed my laptop and of course found myself shopping online.

I found a few things on Holt Renfrew’s website that I fell in love but unfortunately can’t afford right now. So I thought I’d share them with you.

First is the Alias Pump by Jimmy Choo, simple yet elegant this plum coloured, suede and mock croc pointy-toe pump is to die for!

Take a look,

Price? $575 Worth it? I think so! Find out what location near you carries these Jimmy Choo Heels.

Next is the Hangisi Crystal Toe Flat by none other than Manolo Blahnik. The pump version of these were made famous on The Sex and the City, but I’m really loving them in flats.

That royal blue with the brooch detail is gorgeous, but at a selling point of $945, I think I’ll have to pass.

Both these items have been added to the want list!!
