Fall-Fashion Lookbook: The Weekend Girl

You’re either already stressed from school and the assignments seem to just be piling up or you’re working that 9-5 and then some; regardless, this is a look fit for any girl trying to clear her head and have some fun on a weekend. Check it out below!

weekendBow Accented Blouse: Let’s face it, bows make everything instantly cuter. A blouse like this is the perfect look for an evening in the city. Sheer is great fabric to be wearing during the transition between seasons because of how light the material is, but if the nights are getting chilly then make sure to grab a sweater to throw over.

W118 by Walter Baker

Ring the alarm because I’ve found a steaming hot collection by Walter Baker for this season. I’ve picked out some of my favourite looks, check them out:

Baker’s mix of media, cuts and fabric makes this line a must have. But let’s be honest, on top of all that, it’s that edgy, black and fierce essence the collection has that makes it drool-worthy! Perfectly crisp details and pop of colour are what differentiate this collection for the same repetitive stuff we’ve been seeing lately.

I’m extremely impressed and overly joyed by the genius of this collection. Safe to say all these items have made it to my want list. Make sure to check it out on Walter Baker’s Official Website now!

OOTD: Houndstooth and Mustard Yellow

Nothing beats the feeling of taking off the tags on a new purchase and wearing it for the first time. I got the chance to do that twice with today’s outfit.

I’ve always loved the preppy look  of houndstooth print and how beautifully chic the mustard yellow cardigan makes the entire outfit look. And even though Pantone named radiant orchid as colour of the year for 2014, I’d still pick this cardigan from Banana Republic to compliment this look.

Thanks to the gold-buttons on the cardigan and gold buckets on my boots, this look didn’t need much accessories.. so I kept it simple and just threw on my big chain necklace from Aldo.

OOTD: Gold Blooded

Yesterday was a super hectic day and I didn’t have a chance to post my outfit. But here it is… I’m loving the black and white combos, per usual.

Nothing too fancy for my day at work yesterday, but I really love anything sheer. To dress up the look a bit I wore my large gold-chain necklace from Aldo and my favourite gold watch. Finished the look off with a pair of Steve Madden camel coloured flats and I was ready to go.

OOTD: Lock Me Up

Today’s outfit featured the lastest trend of vertical black and white stripes. Brands such as Balmain and River Island have released numerous items with this print and it instantly has become hard to ignore.

The nice thing about this print is, unlike horizontal stripes, is it actually makes you look thinner and your torso look longer. Even leggings with this print will make your legs look more defined.

Like every outfit, accessories can make it or break it. Gold looks absolutely breathtaking with black and white. Depending on the style of the shirt or pants you wear, your choice of jewellery will change. With a shirt like this one, I had the flexibility to wear something big, yet simple.
